Summary

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join Phoenix Futures – a leading national charity that helps people overcome substance use.

Phoenix Futures are recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental Standards Manager to lead the effective management of all Phoenix Future’s statutory and regulatory Health and Safety standards in relation to all services, property, and workplace operations. The Role

As our HSE Standards Manager, you’ll be our go-to expert on health, safety and environmental compliance across the organisation. You’ll:

- Lead on the effective development, implementation and management of all environmental and workplace health and safety standards and functions
- Act as our Competent Person for HSE advice and compliance
- Monitor and ensure we meet all regulatory and legislative requirements in respect of HSE
- Be the lead liaison with health and safety authorities on matters of compliance
- Monitor and audit HSE performance, driving continuous improvement
- Oversee the fire risk management process across the organisation
- Develop and deliver HSE training and guidance to colleagues in relation to health and safety procedures

You will be working from home generally, however, travel to services across England and Scotland, as well as to our London central office will be required.

About You

- A NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and Chartered IOSH Membership (or working towards it)
- A NEBOSH Certificate in Fire and an Environmental qualification
- Strong experience (5+ years) in occupational health & safety, ideally in healthcare or residential settings
- A proven track record in implementing Health, Safety & Environmental
- Management Systems, including Emergency Planning and Business Continuity
- Ability to design and deliver effective training, including IOSH courses
