SEN Teaching Assistant Job (Maternity Cover)
Location: Leicester
Full-Time - Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) - Term Time Only
Start Date: October 2025
Hays is in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Sixth Form / College located in Leicester. They are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
Your role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create a consistent, caring environment.
- Use creativity, patience, and empathy to help pupils build confidence and independence.
- Be a positive role model who brings energy, humour, and heart to the classroom.
What We're Looking For:
- Experienced in supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar setting)
- Calm, adaptable, and solution-focused
- A great communicator and team player
- Passionate about inclusive education and child development
- Qualified with a relevant TA or SEN qualification (Level 2/3 preferred)
