Summary
Are you an experienced Principal Architect with experience being responsible for the architectural vision, strategy and oversight of technology projects? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as the Principal Architect.
This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions align with the strategic objectives of the EHC. You must demonstrate exceptional leadership and possess extensive experience in healthcare IT systems, providing innovative solutions that drive efficiency and improve patient care.
As the Principal Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Planning and Vision: Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices, ensuring long-term sustainability and scalability of IT systems. Incorporate comprehensive knowledge across Business, Data, Application, technology, and security domains.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, clinical staff, and external partners to define and execute the architectural strategy, facilitating communication and ensuring stakeholder buy-in. Leverage expertise across domains to guide decision-making.
- Project Oversight: Lead the design and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to timelines and budgets. Apply knowledge across Business, Data, Application, technology, and security to ensure comprehensive solutions.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure that all architectural practices comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the healthcare industry, such as GDPR, CAF, DSPT, NIST and NHS guidelines. Regularly review and update policies to maintain alignment with evolving regulatory requirements. Ensure security measures are integrated into every aspect of the architecture.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams and SME’s fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Line management of Solution architect. Develop training programs and workshops to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate architectural risks to ensure the stability and security of IT systems. Implement risk assessment frameworks and develop contingency plans to address potential threats across Business, Data, Application, technology, and security domains.
- Identifies new technologies, industry trends, best practices which should be incorporated into the architecture roadmap and facilitates proof of concept and pilot activity in order to quickly prove business value hypotheses
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5-7 years of experience in IT architecture roles, including several years in a senior or leadership position.
- 10+ years of experience in a technical Infrastructure or Software development background within a Microsoft environment
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not necessary, with a deep understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex IT projects and to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience across Business, Data, Application, technology, and security domains.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on healthcare IT solutions.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CAF, DSPT, NIST).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) (D)
