Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff and provide feedback to the teacherSupport pupils to understand instructions support independent learning and inclusion of all pupilsProvide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.Assists with the planning of learning activities.Monitors pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately records achievement/progress as directed.Provides detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ achievements, progress, problems etc.Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on taskSupport pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.Prepare and clear up learning environment and resources, including photocopying, filing and the display and presentation of pupils work and contribute to maintaining a safe environment.Participates in discussions with parents/carers under the general direction of a teacher.Record basic pupil data.Support children’s learning through playAssist with break-time/lunchtime supervision including facilitating games and activities.Assist with escorting pupils on educational visits.Support pupils in using basic ICT.Invigilate exams and tests.Assist pupils when eating, dressing and hygiene, as required, whilst encouraging their independence.
