This exciting new role provides an opportunity to work within a Whole Family Recovery Service as a Recovery Coordinator for the Family Support and Safeguarding Team (FSST).
At Change Grow Live we believe that whole family-based approaches to substance misuse support and recovery have the potential to have a greater impact on reducing harms and increasing resilience for individuals, families, and communities. Therefore, providing support to families is a real priority for us to ensure that our services are truly person centred and family focussed.
We’re looking for 4 experienced and passionate individuals to support families and individuals who are experiencing the impact of substance misuse. You will be part of a new and exciting partnership venture with Children’s Social Care, which seeks to develop an evidence-based approach to family safeguarding. (Internal secondments are welcomed)

Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26- £32,002.35
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
We are seeking Recovery Coordinators for the new Family Support and Safeguarding multi-disciplinary teams in the following areas:
Bassetlaw (1)
Mansfield and Ashfield (1)
Broxtowe, Gedling & Rushcliffe (2)
Your role will be to provide a package of support and care to the adult substance user, whilst working alongside other the agencies to support the whole family. The role specifications for this post are for a Recovery Coordinator, with the Family Safeguarding element as an added addendum.
The model, originally developed in Hertfordshire, implements a multi-disciplinary team, including children’s social care, substance misuse, mental health, and domestic abuse partners with a focus on integrated working with families to support improved outcomes.
Successful candidates may have previously worked in the following areas:
Substance misuse services
Health and social care
Housing support services
Rehabilitation services
Children’s services, supporting young people
Hospitals and other medical practices
To be successful you will need to have:
Extensive experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice and policy
Experience in managing caseloads
A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professionals
Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency.
The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information, e.g. reports.
Excellent time management skills, and an ability to work on own initiative, prioritising accordingly.
Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives.
Good working knowledge of drug and alcohol-related harm and risks
What we will give to you:
25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
