Summary

Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care Home

Location: Peterborough
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

Are you an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up? We’re recruiting a passionate and driven Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children’s residential home in Peterborough, supporting young people aged 8–18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

As the Registered Manager, you'll play a key leadership role—building your team, shaping a safe and nurturing environment, and ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:

Lead and manage the daily running of the residential home

Recruit, train, and supervise staff

Promote safeguarding, care planning, and positive outcomes for young people

Ensure the service meets all Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted expectations

Drive a positive, therapeutic culture within the home

Manage budgets, quality assurance, and compliance processes

Registered Manager – Requirements:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)

Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a children’s residential setting

Previous experience as a Registered Manager (or readiness to step into the role)

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted inspection frameworks

Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills

IT literate, proactive, and resilient
