Home Office Digital, Data and Technology designs, builds and develops services for the rest of the department and for government. Every year our systems support up to 3 million visa applications, checks on 100 million border crossings, up to 8 million passport applications and deliver 140 million police checks on people, vehicles and property.
You will be working in the Chief Technology Office (CTO) which sits within Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT). As Senior Governance and Reporting Manager you will be responsible for leading the Home Office Technical Design Authority (TDA) and Platform Designing Authority (PDA). The boards are chaired by the Chief Technology Officer. The boards ratify technology investment decisions, designs, and choices for the Department - directly or delegated to other areas of Digital, Data and Technology. You will also lead on Risk Management for the Architecture team.

Key Responsibilities
- As Senior Governance and Reporting Manager, you will manage and control governance and risk activities to enable effective management and decision-making.
- You will drive the vision for governance and risk management. You will act as the central informed and knowledgeable point of contact for governance and risk activities in CTO.
- You will act as an escalation point for all TDA and PDA secretariat related issues, identifying trends quickly and liaising with relevant stakeholders and monitoring successful resolutions.
- You will proactively facilitate and encouraging engagement between the TDA and PDA and other committees, authorities, secretariats and boards to ensure effective engagements affecting. local and wider governance
- You will be responsible for maintenance of consistent and effective processes to ensure governance and risk management is successfully implemented.
- You will collaborate successfully with colleagues within DDaT function and business portfolios and demonstrate excellent organisational skills, including an ability to be self-starting in a high-pressured environment. You will be confident to work directly with our most senior members of staff and Board members, and able to handle sensitive information.
- You will provide mentoring, coaching and line management to a team of business management colleagues, building strong and open working relationships and networks and inspiring others to build their professional capability.
