At Karbon Homes, our passionate software team help shape digital solutions that directly improve lives - supporting Karbon Homes' mission to provide safe, affordable housing and stronger communities.

About the role

Join Karbon Homes as Senior Software Developer on our ICT & Digital Transformation leadership team. You'll architect and deliver secure, scalable solutions-coding in TypeScript and optimising relational databases (MySQL or Microsoft SQL or Progress OpenEdge). Lead a skilled dev team, shape technical direction and collaborate across ICT and with external partners. As mentor and coach, you'll embed agile best practices and drive our technology roadmap, all while championing Karbon's values of trust, inclusion and excellence. If you're driven to transform public services through innovative software and make a real social impact, this is your opportunity to lead change.

About you

We're looking for a Senior Software Developer who blends hands-on expertise with strategic leadership and a passion for social impact. You'll be:

  • A TypeScript champion, confident designing and delivering secure, scalable housing-management solutions
    • An expert in relational databases-MySQL, Microsoft SQL or Progress OpenEdge-crafting efficient schemas and optimizing performance
      • A natural mentor, driving agile best practices, code reviews and CI/CD to raise team performance
        • An excellent communicator and collaborator, able to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and partner with stakeholders
          • A proactive problem-solver, curious about emerging tech and relentless in rooting out issues before they reach production
            • Deeply committed to Karbon's values-trust, inclusion and innovation-and eager to use your skills to improve people's lives
