• Type: Temporary to permanent opportunity (First 12-weeks, temporary basis)

A new opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative & FLT Driver (Counterbalance and Reach) to join a well-established company with a brand new working environment based in Chorley, Lancashire.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a strong background in warehouse operations and forklift truck driving.

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (42.5+ hours per week)
• Availability to work 06:00am - 03:00pm (assisting with holiday cover) preferred
• Very occasional weekend work may be required, paid at an hourly rate

Role requirements:

• A valid Reach Truck (essential) and Counterbalance Forklift Truck (desirable) licence (Proof required dated within the past 3 years)
• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• IT literacy is required for stock management and order processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Key responsibilities:

• Picking and packing orders efficiently to meet company standards.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
• Unloading and loading containers in a safe and timely manner.
• Preparing goods for dispatch and ensuring they are loaded securely onto couriers.
• Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with inventory management.
• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
