As a Transport Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring goods are delivered on time and in full, while providing outstanding customer service. From booking management to real-time problem solving, you’ll help keep things moving — literally.
What You’ll Be Doing
Booking & Planning: Handle incoming bookings via phone/email and collaborate with planners to optimise routes and vehicle usage.
Customer Focus: Keep our customers informed with timely updates and solutions.
Data Management: Accurately input and maintain transport data in internal systems.
Relationship Building: Work closely with hauliers and customers to build strong, lasting relationships.
Problem Solving: Swiftly manage and resolve transport-related issues with professionalism.
Invoice & POD Management: Verify transport invoices and ensure proof of delivery (PODs) are collected and shared.
Team Support: Collaborate with and support colleagues across the wider transport team.
What You’ll Need
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) – desirable.
IT proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Customer-first mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Previous experience in a logistics or transport coordination role is preferred.
