Join our residential team, where you'll play a key role in overseeing the Thames lock houses. As part of this exciting opportunity, you’ll take charge of property inspections, arranging essential repairs, and shaping future maintenance programmes.
You’ll be a key point of contact for managing tenant transitions, working closely with the legal team to ensure seamless moves in and out. Plus, you'll handle day-to-day queries and challenges, ensuring residents enjoy a smooth and hassle-free experience.

The team
The Estates Team sits within the larger Corporate and National Services directorate. You can read more about the directorate in the Additional Information pack.
The Estates service extends to 130 people, offering professional support for Environment Agency land, property, compensation and valuation matters. We are core to the delivery of the Agency's £5.2 billion capital programme to better protect 336,000 homes.
Experience/skills required
You will be qualified as a Chartered surveyor and wanting to grow your experience and knowledge at this level, or you’re looking for a change of direction.
You will need an understanding of residential property management, especially in relation to property repair and maintenance.
You’ll be a credible and enthusiastic communicator with good customer service skills, with no problem building strong relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. You must be a motivated team player, able to think on your feet and prioritise your work effectively.
You’ll hold a valid UK driving licence as this is essential to travel to sites and offices across our hubs, some of which are inaccessible by public transport.
