We are currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Stores/Assembly Operative to join a busy engineering team based near Woodbridge on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production by accurately selecting and preparing products for the manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Picking and retrieving items from the storeroom using computerised stock/order system
• Manual handing
• Assembly using hand tools
• Driving to additional stores location in the local area to retrieve items.
• Ensuring all work is completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience in a practical role such as engineering, stores, assembly or construction
• Basic computer skills to look up stock and follow digital work instructions
• Ability to learn to read and interpret diagrams and assembly instructions
• Ability to use hand tools
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Working in a supportive and friendly team environment, the successful candidate will be offered training in this skilled role. 37 hours per week Monday to Friday plus possible overtime.
