Permanent, 35 Hours per week
Grade 4 Points 18 – 22 (£33,783 – £36,701 per annum pro rata subject to pending Job Evaluation).
This salary includes £2,500 (pro-rata) Market Allowance, which is in place until the outcome of Job Evaluation is confirmed and then will be reviewed.

West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Work Based Assessor for Engineering within the Computing, Engineering and Built Environment faculty. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team, you will be part of a highly motivated team of Work-Based Assessors working with organisations looking to upskill and reskill their workforce by undertaking modern apprenticeships and SVQs within the engineering industry.
If you have Electrical & Mechanical Engineering with some machining experience and are passionate about developing the future workforce, then this excellent opportunity is for you!
You will be educated to SCQF Level 8 in the Engineering industry, and be Assessor qualified or prepared to complete an Assessor award within six months of starting. You will have a good understanding and previous experience of the Engineering sector, with specific knowledge about Electrical and Mechanical and possess good organisational skills to prioritise effectively. You will also have the ability to communicate at all levels in order to help others achieve.
