Are you a passionate and creative DT teacher ready to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and makers? Hays Education is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Middlesbrough to recruit a Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the autumn term (Christmas 2025).
️ Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with the national curriculum
- Foster a safe and stimulating learning environment in workshops and classrooms
- Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
- Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
✅ Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism in Design & Technology (Product Design, Resistant Materials, or similar)
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Hays)
