Hours Per Week: 35.5 hours per week with half an hour for lunch, term time only

Work Pattern: Monday Thursday 8.30am 4.15pm, Friday 8.30am 3.30pm

Base Location: Livingstone Primary School, Valeside, Mossley, OL5 0AP

The Governors of Livingstone Primary School wish to appoint a School Administrator to be part of our successful, hardworking and dedicated staff team.

We are looking for an efficient school administrator with excellent organisational skills to provide a wide range of administrative support to the Headteacher and staff of the school. As the initial point of contact for families, visitors and telephone callers, you will need to have an excellent telephone manner, good communication skills and be able to deal with staff, parents, visitors and children. The role requires someone who is enthusiastic, conscientious, efficient, honest and friendly who is able to work in a busy office environment. They will have a flexible approach to managing workload, excellent self-organisation skills, the ability to use their initiative and work independently.

The role is a key member of the office staff and will work very closely with the School Business Manager and the Learning Mentor as well as the Head Teacher. The successful candidate should:

  • Have previous experience within an administration role
  • Have excellent administrative skills and the ability to multitask
  • Have the ability to prioritise time and workload
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be friendly, approachable and professional and able to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
