Summary
About the role
As a Therapy Technical Instructor (Therapy Assistant) within the Intermediate Tier, you will play a key role in supporting individuals to regain independence, confidence, and function following illness, injury, or hospital discharge.
You will work under the guidance of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, delivering person centred and strengths based reablement and rehabilitation plans in both residential and community settings. This hands on role involves supporting people with daily living activities, mobility, exercises, and safe use of equipment and assistive technology, helping them achieve their therapy goals and return home safely and independently.
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, adaptable, and has a proactive approach, with the ability to work flexibly across the borough and respond to the dynamic needs of the people receiving intermediate care.
If you are enthusiastic, caring, and committed to helping people live as independently as possible, we would love to hear from you. Whether you have direct experience in a therapy or reablement setting, or transferrable skills from another health or social care role, we welcome your application.
You will need to work well as part of a team, communicate effectively, follow therapy plans accurately, and have confidence to work independently in the community.
If you are ready to make a real difference in people's lives and want to be part of a supportive and dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week, and you will be required to work on a rota basis which includes weekend working. Access to a car and a full UK driving license is essential for this role along with the relevant business insurance.
