Summary
Possess a teaching qualification to level 4, (CET) or higher. Encourage reluctant learners to develop independent study skills and reach their full potential. Can demonstrate evidence of ongoing and updated professional development. Is able to comply with quality measures within an educational establishment. Has an understanding of the issues relating to instructing and supporting patients who might also have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Has knowledge of issues surrounding education within a mental health setting. Has knowledge of the NHS and Mental Health Act and related legislation. Has a flexible approach to working practices. Is able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Is able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of risk and risk assessment. Ability to participate in the escorting of patients in accordance with policies and procedures. Has excellent verbal and written communication skill. Is able to participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Can maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment.
