A warm, inclusive, and creative primary school in Islington is seeking a resilient and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with additional needs.
About the Role:You'll be working closely with a bright and imaginative Year 5 student who:
- Is chatty, artistic, and full of personality.
- Experiences high anxiety around peers and unfamiliar people.
- Sometimes finds it difficult to remain in the classroom.
- Needs encouragement and structure to engage in learning.
What We're Looking For:
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday).
- Experience supporting children with SEND - PRU experience is a strong advantage.
- A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children.
- Confidence in setting and maintaining clear boundaries.
Support Structure:
You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside the class teacher, Inclusion HLTA, and SENCO to ensure the pupil receives the care and consistency she needs to thrive.
