Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and capable English Teacher to deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful English Teacher will bring enthusiasm, subject expertise, and a commitment to student achievement to this full-time position. You will play a vital role in building pupils’ analytical and creative skills, supporting them to achieve academic success and personal growth.

The English Teacher appointed will join a collaborative department that embraces innovation and is committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach creative and well-structured English lessons


  • Promote literacy development and a love for reading and writing


  • Use assessment data to inform planning and improve outcomes


  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture


  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including clubs and events


    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


    • A degree in English or a related subject


    • Proven experience as an English Teacher in a secondary school


    • Passion for literature, language, and educational excellence


    • Excellent behaviour management and interpersonal skills


    • A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
