Summary

WR Fundraising Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced major donor fundraiser to join a growing fundraising team at an extremely well supported London based charity.

We’re looking for someone with a love and talent for major donor fundraising to take on a managerial position, working closely with an inspiration Head of, to steward key philanthropic relationships.

The charity has a portfolio of wonderful major donors and celebrity supporters and we’re looking for someone with the ability to nurture those relationships. We’re not necessarily looking for someone who has managed previously, but someone with the ability and ambition to.

There’s a great ethic within the fundraising team with a focus on nurturing rather than micro-managing and the successful candidate will receive as much personal support as they need.

Major Donor Manager
Full Time, Permanent
East London with flexible / hybrid working
Up to £45,000 per annum on experience

Ability and willingness to attend regular meetings in the City of London, East London and Essex required

Duties will include:
• Effectively stewarding and developing relationships with existing Patrons and Supporters, ensuring donations are renewed.
• Responsibility for generating new revenue income by creating a Patrons programme that encourages individuals to support us at various levels.
• Development and planning of the charity’s high net worth giving programme
• Leading the development and implementation of their major donor strategy and steward a portfolio of major donors
• Consistent support of existing major donors through successful stewarding

Ideal candidates will:
• Have a proven track record of generating significant income from Major Donors
• Be experienced in developing and managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors
• Have strong interpersonal and networking skills, to build positive, personal and organisational relationships and convey the charity’s work
• Be experienced in account management, face to face and virtually
• Have communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively
