Summary

We are working closely alongside with Birmingham to assist with the appointment of a Contact Supervision Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (36 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £13.70 - £17.65 per hour

Summary:

The Contact Supervision Worker plays a key role in ensuring the safe and supportive facilitation of contact sessions between children and their birth families or others identified in their care plans. The role directly supports the Trusts vision of making Birmingham the greatest city to grow up in by promoting quality, safety, and emotional wellbeing for children in care.

Responsibilities:

Safely collect and transport children from their placements to contact venues and return them after sessions.
Supervise contact sessions between children and their families or others as outlined in the care plan.
Ensure that contact requirements and safeguarding procedures are strictly followed.
Complete detailed, accurate reports on each contact session using the prescribed template.
Promptly report any safeguarding concerns to the Contact Manager and the allocated Social Worker.
Qualifications

Qualification in childcare or equivalent.
Essentials:

The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.

Substantial experience (voluntary, work-related, or personal) working directly with children under 10 years.

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
