Summary
Clinical Leadership Use experience and clinical expertise to provide leadership and advice to ensure that clinical leadership is central to the delivery of all network andNHS Wales activities. Identifying and working with the relevant individuals in the clinical leadership of the assigned area of work. To foster and promote a culture of clinical engagement and influence ensuring the network is truly clinically led. To support the Network team in the development of priorities to inform the work programme, demonstrating sound judgement and decision making. To act as a clinical champion/identified lead for specific thematic programmes of work. To promote the systematic application of quality framework tools such as NICE Quality Standards and methodologies to support understanding variation and drive system change. Strategic Planning Provide specialist clinical advice and leadership in developing strategy documents, standards of care and service specifications. Advise on assurance processes, seeking the views of colleagues across the service. Improvement and Monitoring To foster a culture of multi-professional engagement in the improvement of care across the work streams of the Network. To maintain credibility with all key players within the network community, fostering a culture of collaboration for the delivery of equitable, high-quality care across all sectors. Ensuring that progress reports are produced on a routine basis that provide the wider network and key stakeholders with an overview of progress which includes highlighting successes and risks to the delivery of objectives. To work closely with the Network Manager and team to develop plans to ensure that service improvement is coordinated through the agreed work programme. Communications To engage, develop and sustain professional relationships with key stakeholders, both within NHS Wales and across the UK. Facilitating a two-way dialogue to enhance the meaningful involvement of clinicians across Wales. To represent the Network on clinical forums, providing a source of expertise and advice. To work with partners in support of aligning innovation, education, informatics, and quality improvement. To maintain effective and visible network communication arrangements with the clinical communities across Wales, that can be evidenced by strengthened and improved relationships, collaborative behaviours and joint working across and between teams, organisations and sectors. Digital and Information Actively promote standardised digital solutions across perinatal services. Utilise robust data and information to ascertain health intelligence and drive improvement.
