Summary
The post holder will be an experienced qualified paediatric nurse who will play an essential role in assisting the Childrens hospital Outreach Team to provide extensive clinical advice, education and support to ward based multi-disciplinary teams across a number of clinical areas throughout the trust. The post holder will provide comprehensive assessment and care of the deteriorating/acutely ill child , leading to early intervention and treatment. The post holder will work in partnership with the Multi-disciplinary Team to initiate appropriate care to prevent further physiological deterioration and identify and refer those patients who require PICU/HDU admission. The post holder will support the Resuscitation Officers in the education and training for all clinical and non-clinical staff employed by the Trust across all adult areas. The post holder will also support Outreach within the ward environment and those areas caring for critically ill children.
