We're looking for a Digital Practice Support Manager to join our team.

In DWP our different digital professions are set up into communities of practice. These brilliant roles are all about helping to ensure those practices are at their best, happy, skilled, engaged, informed and united in their understanding of what they are here to do.

You'll work with our Service Management community you'll play a vital role in enabling collaboration, sharing best practice, and capability building across the community of over 1,100 professionals who are driving digital transformation.

You'll work closely with the Head of Practice, Executive Sponsor, and Heads of Role, to shape and support the delivery of strategic objectives around Capacity, Capability, and Community.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Proficient in MS Office software and bringing a diverse range of data sources into coherent and meaningful reporting outcomes.
  • Managing ambiguity in requirements, using insight and initiative to generate outcomes which support a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, responding to queries using appropriate IT channels (e.g. Outlook; Teams), and escalation where appropriate to the wider team.
  • Experience of identifying and delivering process and/or service improvement.
  • Experience of working within an IT Service Management framework utilising associated best practice.
  • Ability to translate high level objectives and strategies into specific business outcomes.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle-upon-Tyne, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer pay of up to £38,373.

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £11,116 per year.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 23 days and rising to 30 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
