Job Opportunity: Building Manager - Glasgow City Centre Location: Bothwell Street, Glasgow Hours: Full-Time - 8am to 6pm Salary: Starting from £40,000
About the RoleWe're looking for a proactive and experienced Building Manager to join a modern, dynamic workspace designed to support the future of office life and work-life balance. This is a front-of-house, customer-facing role that blends technical building management with exceptional service delivery.
You'll be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance across all building services, managing a diverse range of facilities, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for tenants, residents, and visitors. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the face of Lucent, delivering outstanding customer service and communication.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including fire safety and security.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to maintain statutory compliance.
  • Oversee all facilities, including office space, tenant lounge, gym, cycle storage, and wellbeing areas.
  • Manage and review external contracts, ensuring service quality and timely delivery.
  • Maintain the building fabric and lead on planned preventative maintenance.
  • Provide weekly technical and maintenance reports to the managing agent.
  • Champion green initiatives and support ESG goals to reduce environmental impact.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, tenants, and local authorities.


What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years' experience in a customer-facing or Facilities Management role.
  • Strong knowledge of building operations and compliance.
  • Proven experience in contract and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
  • Experience leading a team and managing multiple priorities.
  • FM qualification and/or NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
