Summary
Here at VHG we are excited to expand our MSK Physiotherapy team in Birmingham and we're currently looking for an experienced Band 6 to Band 7 Physiotherapist who has a passion for supporting the working population to thrive and remain at work.
You would be joining a fast growing, evolving team where you can enhance your skills in our onsite clinics. Your role would consist of delivery of MSK Physiotherapy for our onsite Occupational Health contract at Snowhill with clinical responsibilities including: conducting face-to-face assessments; delivery of evidence based physiotherapy treatment and management; MDT working; management of your own diary; Health Coaching for shared decision making and making every contact count.
The successful candidate will work across all 4 pillars of advanced MSK clinical practice and will be responsible for managing their own diary, supporting clinical development of other Occupational Health clinicians and possible delivery of FRP/ preventative days.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- HCPC and CSP registration
- BSc Physiotherapy
- 2 years minimum experience in a similar role in the UK
- Equivalentof an experienced Band 6 or 7 Physiotherapist.
- Excellent understanding of the key principles of Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills within an MDT using health coaching approaches.
- IT literate – intermediate level minimum - using electronic patient management systems.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Desirable:
- Experience of delivering preventative/wellbeing services
- Experience of delivering group classes, such as back classes, pilates and work hardening/FRP
- Understanding of the principles of Ergonomic Risk Assessment
- Further qualifications, training or CPD within the Occupational Health field
- Familiarity and confidence assessing & coaching patients via video link
