An exciting opportunity has arisen, for someone who is passionate about providing excellent support to children and adults who have been bereaved to join our bereavement team.

As one of the local leading providers of palliative and end of life care, St Andrew’s Hospice is a highly successful and forward-thinking charity with a turnover of c£5m, offering both adult and children’s services. With an excellent reputation both in the local community and beyond, we reach over 800 patients and their families in Northeast Lincolnshire and our wider catchment area of Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire for our children’s services.

Our Bereavement Service provides specialist and therapeutic support and counselling to children, young people and adults, who have been bereaved through a death by any means, using individual, group and family techniques as appropriate. This service is continually growing and trying innovative ways to meet the needs of a diverse group of individuals.

As a Bereavement Support Caseworker, you will support the development and delivery of both adult and children’s/young people’s group work, drop-in sessions and coffee mornings across the locality as well as holding a small individual caseload.

You will be qualified to a minimum of level 3 counselling and have knowledge and skills in bereavement
support or lived experience.
