Summary
Murray Recruitment are recruiting an experienced HSE Advisor for our client based in South Lanarkshire.
Role Overview:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver practical day-to-day support across Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters within a dynamic operational environment. Reporting to the Associate Director of HSEQ, the HSE Advisor will play a pivotal part in driving compliance, championing safety culture, and influencing improvements that support business growth and employee wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Support implementation of the HSEQ Strategy across all business functions.
Provide operational and administrative teams with hands-on HSE guidance and advice.
Contribute to and draft Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Conduct regular audits and site inspections.
Participate in or lead accident/incident investigations and follow-up actions.
Engage with external stakeholders such as auditors and environmental consultants.
Offer input to client reports, tenders, and performance assessments.
Represent the company externally on HSE matters.
Support internal performance reviews and contribute to accreditation renewals.
Skills & Experience:
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement).
IoSH membership (with potential to progress to CMIoSH preferred).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar HSE role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience in internal auditing (preferred but not essential).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
