Summary
The Musculoskeletal Service provides triage, assessment, and treatment of patients with MSK conditions in Wirral.
We are looking for a suitably experienced senior physiotherapist to provide MCAS clinics across a range of specialties - spinal, lower limb, shoulder and hands.
The service is physiotherapy led and therefore a highly specialist MSK physiotherapist is required. Ideally you will have experience working in an extended scope role or alternatively, you may have extensive MSK Physiotherapy expertise but now feel ready to develop into this role. You will have the opportunity to develop extended scope skills in a supportive working environment.
You should have relevant MSK postgraduate training and experience, with a broad range of proven specialist skills in managing a range of conditions. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organised and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Travel may be required and some evening clinics may form part of the job plan for this role.

· To provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment of patients in MSK service who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, and to determine clinical diagnosis and appropriate onward management.
· To be assist the team leader in the day-to-day line management of staff and the provision of physiotherapy in MSK service.
· To have a major responsibility for Training & Development of physio staff, students and other staff groups in MSK physiotherapy service.
· To be a role model and a lead for the assessment and treatment of patients in MSK service.
