Make a Career Out of Making a Difference

Are you looking for a career where you can have a genuine impact on someone's daily life? Whether you're experienced in care or completely new to the field, Dimensions will support you every step of the way with full training, guidance, and the chance to earn qualifications such as the Care Certificate.

Dimensions is a not-for-profit, values-led organisation supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress and those with complex health needs. We're proud to be one of the UK's leading care providers, recognised for transforming lives through person-centred support.

This opportunity is based in a registered care home in Barnet. You'll be supporting seven people, three ladies and four gentlemen aged from their 50s to 90s. Each person has their own room, and the home runs with multiple staff on shift at any given time. Support is provided on a two-to-one basis, reflecting the complex health needs of the individuals living there.

What the Role Involves -

You'll help people with all aspects of daily living, including personal care. Some of the people we support use wheelchairs and need assistance with hoisting for safe mobility and several people require feeding assistance based on SALT assessments. You'll also be actively involved in cooking, so basic kitchen skills are essential.

This is a home full of laughter. Whether you're enjoying karaoke nights, watching football, or heading out to a local restaurant, you'll be helping the people you support to live happy lives. Interests across the house include music, football, cinema, walks, day trips, and Greek culture - so if you have similar passions, you'll feel right at home.

Some individuals use spoken language to communicate, while others don't use words, so a patient, thoughtful approach is vital. This is also a high-needs medical role, with epilepsy and complex health support required. Full training will be provided.

Shifts and Working Pattern -

Day shifts run between 7:00am and 9:45pm and can be split into half days (around 7.5 hours). Sleep-in shifts are also required as part of your full-time role. You'll be expected to work alternate weekends.

Benefits of Working with Dimensions -

- Competitive pay rate, with uplift for any overtime you choose to work.

- 30 days paid annual leave, rising to 35 (including public holidays - pro rata).

- Award-winning career development and genuine opportunities for progression.

- High Street Discounts - including supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, and cinemas.

- Life Assurance and a Company Pension Scheme.

- Industry-leading training, including specialist support.

- Enhanced DBS check paid for by us.

- Salary Advance Scheme - access up to 50% of earned pay before payday.
