About the Role: We’re delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a warm and welcoming rural primary school, nestled in the stunning countryside near Penrith. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos, nurturing environment, and committed staff team.
From September, we are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and capable TA who thrives on making a real difference in a child’s school experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to a Year 5 pupil in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored strategies that promote progress and well-being
Support learning both in and outside of the classroom, fostering confidence and independence
Contribute to a positive, calm, and inclusive learning environment
Keep accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with the wider team
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified Teaching Assistant (ideally Level 2 or above), with recent experience supporting KS2 pupils, especially in a 1:1 capacity
A nurturing, patient and positive mindset
Flexibility, initiative, and strong teamwork skills
A commitment to inclusive education and the values of the school community
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is highly desirable
