Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking 2 innovative Teaching Assistants (KS3/KS4) to join our dynamic SEND team, who are dedicated to providing the best possible opportunities to students with additional needs. You will work with individuals or small groups to motivate and inspire students to enjoy their learning, leading to a desire to achieve their highest potential in all subjects. We expect a commitment to safeguarding. In turn, we will provide the time, CPD opportunities and leadership support to ensure you are successful in the role.

We take enormous joy and pride in being a very happy school, where pupils feel safe and cared for and know that they belong to an incredibly special family.

We are proud of our excellent reputation, which is built on outstanding pastoral care in which each individual is known, treasured and supported throughout their school journey, rich wider opportunities and excellent exam results. The relatively small size of the school as well as the way we structure learning, allow us as a staff team to genuinely know each child as an individual, enabling them to thrive and flourish.

We are looking for someone who:

• Will demonstrate a shared commitment to raising standards and provide support to all pupils
• Has high expectations and will encourage pupils to fulfil their potential
• Is committed to inclusion and understands pupils have differing needs
• Has awareness of young persons development and learning
• Is patient, calm and will listen to pupils views

What the school offers its staff

We can offer you:

• A welcoming and supportive staff team
• Support and collaboration from a strong partnership of 15 schools within the Trust
• A commitment to your professional development
• Friendly and caring school and parish community
• A passionate and forward thinking Senior Leadership Team and Academy Council
• An excellent pension package
• Health and wellbeing support

Commitment to safeguarding

The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust is committed to ensuring children are supported and safe. We are dedicated to the safeguarding of all children whilst promoting their welfare and expect all staff and volunteers to share this responsibility. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS with barred list check and other appropriate checks. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance (2024), online searches will be carried out on shortlisted candidates and shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a form for self-disclosure of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children.
