Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
South Hylton Primary Academy, part of Laidlaw Schools Trust, are seeking a Primary School Teacher to cover maternity ideally starting in September 2025 until 31 August 2026.
We are a smaller than average primary school with a ‘village’ ethos catering for children aged 2-11 years. Our children are very motivated and have an extremely positive attitude to learning. You will be teaching pedagogy and practice at the forefront of educational research.
We are looking for a qualified primary teacher who has track record of teaching and raising standards and a passion and vision for primary education. Ideally you will have experience teaching across more than one key stage and you will be motivated to engage in further professional development. You will join a supportive and ambitious team that is clearly focused on school development and driving the academy forward to become one of the best schools in Sunderland.
This post is open for Early Career Teachers as well as those with more experience.
