About the RoleWe are looking for an exceptional Assistant Principal to join the senior leadership team from September 2025. This is a permanent, full-time role in a forward-thinking and high-performing secondary school that is committed to nurturing academic excellence, character development, and strong community values.
You will play a critical role in our strategic leadership and help to drive school improvement, support teaching and learning, and contribute to a culture of high expectations and achievement. Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in leading and managing high-performing teams
- Evidence of strategic leadership impact
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK

- Lead on strategic school improvement initiatives
- Line manage subject/faculty leaders effectively
- Drive the development and implementation of high-quality teaching
- Oversee progress and attainment data tracking systems
- Promote and ensure a positive, safe and inclusive school culture
- Monitor and evaluate teaching standards through lesson observations
- Manage staff performance and appraisals
- Contribute to school policies and ensure compliance
- Lead assemblies and promote core values
- Support the Principal in delivering the School Improvement Plan
