Summary

Grade: D scp 6 £25,183 to scp 11 £27,269 additional allowance of 7% for out of hours working.
Contract: Permanent 37hrs per week.
Role specifics Must be over 18yrs of age and hold a full UK driving Licence.

The Role
The role will also consist of collecting disability equipment when it is no longer required and to assist with the decontamination of equipment when necessary. You will select stock items for delivery and load on to vehicles ensuring safety and security. You will be required to deliver and fit disability equipment throughout the Bolton borough.

Other duties will include loading and unloading of Council vehicles, maintaining transport log sheets and using handheld devices for picking and delivering products, collect disability equipment when no longer required.

The role will require you to work to rota’d hours which includes weekends and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to work as part of a team and to assist with the decontamination of equipment when necessary.

About You
The Integrated Community Equipment Service is looking for a Driver/Fitter to join our busy team providing essential services across the borough to service users with the aim of maintaining their independence in their own homes.

You must be able to work rota’d hours which includes weekends and Bank Holidays and have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, together with the ability to work as part of a team and alone. You will be required to select stock and load Council vehicles safely and securely.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and undertake a driving assessment as part of the selection process.
