Summary
To provide a comprehensive technical service in respect of the maintenance, repair, installation, validation and testing of sterilisers, dental, podiatry and decontamination equipment throughout the Trusts properties, PCT properties and approximately 40+ dental clinics. Candidates must have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship, be self-motivated with a desire to develop new skills and flexible to meet the demands of a large acute hospital. Specialist training and support will be provided where necessary with the the chosen candidates required to develop into a skilled maintenance technician who may be required to: Carry out planned & reactive repairs to over 180+ Dental chairs as well as associated equipment such as: Lights, Spittoons, Amalgam Separators, bracket tables, etc. All equipment is of a varied range of manufacturers, age profile & clinical function. X-ray equipment Dental Carts Lab equipment such as: Extraction Units, Curators, Bunsen Burners, etc. External clinics Central & Local Compressed Air & VAC Plant Simulation Units Hand piece motors Mechanical & Electrical Reactive repairs Maintain CPD & Manufacturer Training Appointed as CP (Dental) in accordance with healthcare HTM guidance documentation.
