Summary
Wood Field Primary school have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our ASD Oak Field provision on a part-time or full-time, term time only basis.Oak Field is a highly specialist primary base for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, situated on the same grounds as Wood Field. As a welcoming and expanding base, we take pride in our strong sense of passion, commitment, and community.
Our dedicated staff celebrate each child’s strengths and personality while encouraging them to reach their full potential. We take pride in delivering a highly tailored and engaging curriculum that focuses on independence, social interaction, and communication. We use a variety of Autistic Spectrum Disorder specific strategies, bringing all ‘the best bits’ together to offer an eclectic approach. With class sizes ranging from 6 to 8 students and an adult-to-child ratio designed to meet individual needs, we ensure personalised support for every child.Teaching Assistants provide valuable support to teaching staff and are able to make a significant contribution to the education and well-being of pupils.The successful candidate will be a proactive, collaborative team player with a positive, 'can-do' attitude and a genuine passion for working with young children.
