Recruitment Profile

An exciting opportunity has become available within SBC Contracts, the trading arm of Scottish Borders Council. We are currently seeking a Supervisor to join our Specialist Services team.

This role involves overseeing the planning and delivery of Temporary Traffic Management and bond coat operations, as well as managing the Council’s in-house Sign Shop. The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant & Haulage team to optimise staff and vehicle utilisation, while ensuring full compliance with drivers’ hours legislation.

We are looking for a dedicated individual with substantial experience in this service area. The role requires a high level of commitment and flexibility to respond to changing demands.

Essential

SVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting or attain within 2 years of being appointed.
Appropriate CSCS card.
National Highway Sector Scheme 12D (M7) qualification or attain within 2 years of being appointed.
Current Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Certificate
