Job Description
As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support in supported living settings. Your role will help individuals live more independently, with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting individuals in their supported living homes and in the community
• Assisting with personal care and medication administration as a lone worker
• Helping with meal preparation and promoting healthy eating
• Supporting budgeting, managing finances, and shopping trips
• Encouraging social, recreational, and leisure activities
• Promoting independence and daily living skills
• Keeping accurate records and incident reports
• Working calmly and professionally in challenging environments
What We’re Looking For
• At least 6 months’ experience in social care or healthcare
• Experience supporting people with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours
• In-date CPI certification (essential)
• Confident administering medication independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
