Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Service Manager position within the Social Work Specialist Teams. The service provides a social work service to individuals with a diverse range of needs including Physical Disability, Mental Health, Learning Disability, Acquired Brain Injury and those who are Neurodiverse.
The Social Work Specialist Service has five operational social work teams.
2 x Mental Health teams
1 x Learning Disability team
1 x Sensory, Physical and Neurological team
1x Preparation for Adulthood team.
Each team is supported by a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, Experienced Social Workers, Social Workers (including ASYE) and Community Care Workers. The teams also support SW apprenticeships and social work students. The teams have access to administration support.
The role
The role of the Service Manager is to provide a strategic and operational leadership for the teams that sit within the specialist service areas. This includes management oversight for the Team Managers within the 5 teams.
The Service Manager will also work closely with the other Service Managers within Adult Community Social Work Teams, with a ‘one team’ approach.

Warrington is an exciting place to work with an office building in the heart of Warrington town centre with great workspace with hubs and pods which provide a comfortable environment to work. There are local cafes and restaurants all on the doorstep of the office.
We are within easy commutable distance of Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside regions.
The post is for 37 hours per week.
