Your role as a Cleaner:

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and take pride in their work and who enjoy cleaning in a variety of areas to join our team of sports facility cleaners at the David Ross Sports Village based at University Park.

Main duties will include cleaning a wide range of areas/spaces and providing general and specialised cleaning within the building (offices, toilets, bathrooms, changing rooms, staff areas/rooms, corridors, stairwells, fitness facilities, Clinic etc) and providing excellent customer service at all times, working either independently or as a part of a team.

This position entails providing both planned and reactive cleaning service across the building and supporting the local cleaning team with covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning, and supporting with any urgent requests/inquiries assigned by Line Manager.

Previous cleaning experience within similar environment and ability to work independently and as part of a team are desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Hours of Work

7 hours per week, 2 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Saturday and Sunday, working between 4.30pm and 8.00m) Flexibility will be required.

This position is offered a permanent basis working on a rolling 52-weeks of the year basis to include student vacation periods.

This position will attract 20% pay uplift allowance for hours worked at the weekend.

Successful candidate for this position will be expected to attend statutory training courses and any refresher training required as part of the role. The department have planned training courses throughout the year and there is an option to attend either during a typical week, Monday to Friday or set weekend dates, Saturday and Sunday, within the year.
