Woodview school is recruiting for a catering assistant to join their catering team!

We are looking for passionate people, who can support the provision of the catering operation assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene and who can promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People.

In this role, you will under direction, take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures and assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these. This role will also include supporting with ordering stock for the kitchens and taking in deliveries.

Set in its own private grounds, Aspris Woodview School provides holistic support to children and young people aged 7 to 19 years with autism.

The curriculum design enables students to follow a broadly mainstream curriculum to accredited qualifications, preparing them for adulthood and the world of work.

Previous experience preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment along with the following characteristics:

Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.

Organisation -You will need to be confident and organised in updating menus, dietary requirements and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.

Attentive - No young person is the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
