This role supports older adults to remain independent and stay within their own homes. You will work primarily within the Day Care Unit offering support on a one to one or group setting. Every day will be varied and offer the opportunity for you to combine your previous knowledge of supporting individuals with learning to ensure the very best opportunities in day services are offered to the people we support within Argyll and Bute. This includes building strong relationships with families/carers, monitoring health and wellbeing, facilitating quality time for individuals to remain connected with their community and peer group. You will also be a Keyworker with responsibilities for named individuals.
We require a compassionate, hardworking person, who communicates well and is solutions focussed. You will need a good sense of humour and be willing to work independently as well as part of the team. Previous experience in care as well as an understanding of dementia is essential. SVQ 3 Health and Social Care is the skill and knowledge level required, however a willingness and ability to work towards this is acceptable.
