Summary
There are two positions available
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Posts x 2
ALN Teaching Assistants Required.
Ysgol Robert Owen is an incredible special school in Newtown, Powys. We have an amazing new build school with outstanding facilities for our students. We are looking for two inspiring ALN One to One/group Teaching Assistants to join the school on a full time basis. The role will involve working in class groups either with small groups and/or 1 1. Our school caters for children and young people with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum.
Are you passionate about being a Teaching Assistant?
Do you enjoy supporting and developing children who have complex needs?
The successful Teaching Assistant will have the following:
• NVQ Level 3 qualified in a relevant subject and/or a minimum of 6 months’
experience of working with young people with ALN.
• GCSE grade C or above in English & Maths or equivalent.
• A calm, patient and caring personality
• Good communication & IT skills
• A robust understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding Guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education.
Successful application will involve an enhanced DBS check, ID checks and will require you to supply at least two professional references.
