Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Caerphilly to assist with the appointment of a Music Tutor, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £20- £25 per day
Summary:
The Music Tutor provides instrumental and/or vocal tuition to individual pupils, small groups, and full classes in schools across Caerphilly. They are responsible for planning and delivering high-quality music education, preparing students for graded music exams and performance assessments, and supporting the musical development of learners of all ages and abilities.
Responsibilities:
Deliver music lessons to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
Prepare students for graded exams (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity) and qualifications such as GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC.
Identify and support pupils with special educational needs and those identified as more able and talented.
Work within Council policies and contribute to the Music Services ethos.
Support extra-curricular activities and performances where required.
Qualifications:
Degree in Music (Level 6 on the CQFW), diploma in performance/teaching
Experience teaching individuals, small groups, and whole classes
Experience preparing students for ABRSM/Trinity exams and school performances
Essentials:
Understanding of music pedagogy for different ages and group sizes
Familiarity with ABRSM, Trinity, GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Welsh language and keyboard skills (desirable)

You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
