Summary

Nursery Manager – Brand New Nursery Opening | Up to £50,000

Our client is excited to be opening a brand-new, purpose-built nursery and is seeking an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead this setting from day one.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the culture, team, and vision of a fresh, inspiring early years environment right from the very beginning. If you're an experienced Nursery Manager with a proven track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings – and you’re looking for your next big challenge – this could be the perfect role for you.

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and leading all aspects of the nursery’s operations, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and early education from the start. With support from the wider organisation, the Manager will play a central role in recruiting a passionate team, building strong partnerships with families, and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for children to thrive.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above) – essential
  • Extensive experience managing nurseries, with a strong track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
  • A confident, calm, and motivating leadership style
  • Deep knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and early childhood development
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A forward-thinking, proactive attitude with the ability to lead through change and growth

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full opening and launch of the nursery, ensuring readiness for registration and inspection
  • Lead the recruitment, induction, and development of a strong and cohesive staff team
  • Establish a culture of excellence in care, learning, and safeguarding from the outset
  • Maintain and exceed regulatory requirements, including preparing for Ofsted inspections
  • Develop effective partnerships with parents, carers, and the local community
  • Manage occupancy, budgets, and administrative processes efficiently
  • Foster a child-led, inclusive, and stimulating environment that reflects the EYFS framework
