The Opportunity
In this role, you will drive business-winning activities through targeted client engagement, strategic networking, and attendance at key industry events. Working nationwide, you’ll develop and enhance both existing and new relationships to help deliver ambitious growth plans.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong track record in business development within high-compliance engineering sectors who enjoys working at the forefront of technical innovation and commercial strategy

Your duties and responsibilities will be
• Support and deliver the business development strategy in line with strategic business objectives
• Strengthen client relationships and establish new connections to expand market presence
• Promote capabilities and uphold its image of professionalism and technical excellence
• Develop and implement capture plans and horizon scanning strategies across current and target markets
• Maintain effective systems for monitoring business development activity and generating accurate sales forecasts
• Represent at relevant industry events, both nationally and internationally
• Produce and deliver compelling presentations and proposal content
• Contribute to marketing activities including brochures, digital platforms, and social media
• Support the timely completion of EOIs, RFQs, proposals, and commercial evaluations
• Engage with and support social impact and community strategies

You will have the following qualifications & experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development/Sales within the Defence and/or Nuclear sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of fabrication and welding processes
• Experience with full tendering processes and strategic capture planning
• High level of commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Capable of managing the full lifecycle from RFQ through to project delivery
• Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

It’s great if you also have the following
• Previous experience in a highly regulated sector, ideally defence
• Influential with excellent interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong drive to succeed in a target-driven environment
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving project and client requirements
• Enthusiastic about growing both personal and company profiles
