We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Relief Officer to join our team.
As a key member of our security provision, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our client’s sites, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and assets.
Relief Security Officers are sought to strengthen existing teams, and will be called on for core and adhoc activities. This will include advanced notification of shifts, filling vacancies in the security team rota, supporting cover for sickness and holidays, as well other additional tasking.
The successful candidate will be a reliable, flexible, and personable security professional
The Role
Responsible for the physical security of client premises
Conduct regular patrols
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action
Enforce access control and verify the identity of individuals on-site
Provide excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors
Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
Ensure high standards at all times, maintaining the professional image of ISS
Undertake induction and training as needed
Promote a secure and safe working environment at client sites
About You
Valid SIA licence
Proven experience in security or related field
Strong observational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights and weekends
New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
