Here at South Thames Colleges Group, we are seeking a Human Resources Advisor to support the activities associated with the recruitment and onboarding of staff and agency workers. Working closely with the Head of HR (Staff Recruitment & Onboarding), the Staff Recruitment and Onboarding Manager, and the Staff Recruitment Co-ordinator, you’ll perform administrative duties in support of the HR function and the processes associated with the delivery of the recruitment and onboarding service.

You’ll liaise with new starters and managers, ensuring that a timely onboarding service is delivered and that information is available regarding planned start dates and progress of compliance checks prior to an individual’s commencement. You’ll ensure that all information relating to the required compliance checks (including agency compliance information) is entered on Cascade and that any onboarding information is added for new starters and you’ll provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on policies and procedures related to recruitment, onboarding and compliance.

As our Human Resources Advisor (Staff Recruitment & Onboarding), we’d like you to have experience of working in an HR administration, generalist or recruitment and onboarding focused role. With excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills, you’ll be able to build positive relationships with a range of internal and external contacts, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Well-organised and able to manage tasks and deadlines calmly and effectively, you’ll be proficient in the useof IT at Level 2/Intermediate level including Word, Excel, Databases and Outlook, with the ability to create reportsand able to adhere to systems and procedures. You’ll be positive and flexible in approach, with a willingness to get involved and support broader HR activities when needed.

This post will involve travel between the College sites within the Group.
