Are you passionate about using data to create real change in communities and want to help local organisations tell powerful stories about their impact?
We’re looking for a Community Data & Impact Officer to join our VCSE Support Team and lead the development of the Impact Together Hub - a collaborative initiative supporting voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across North Yorkshire.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be instrumental in implementing a new region-wide data collection platform for Community First Yorkshire. Supporting partners to collect and analyse both quantitative and qualitative data, you will build tools and guidance, deliver training, and help organisations showcase the difference they make. You will share access to local and national data sets, whilst collaborating with community partners to enable ethical, inclusive and GDPR-compliant practices.
Don’t imagine it’s all data, data, data - throughout this role you’ll need your strong people skills to engage with communities, organisations and partners to ensure data-driven storytelling that enhances VCSE programme visibility and effectiveness across North Yorkshire.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking detail-driven, analytical candidates with a passion for using data to drive meaningful change. Ideally, you will have experience of data collection methods, analysis and impact reporting, with an ability to present findings in a variety of ways. You will be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of producing accessible, engaging resources that demonstrate programme impact, and a strong collaborative mindset to work alongside a team of Development and Project Officers, as well as our partners.
If you’ve got a commitment to community led work and are pro-active and enthusiastic about making data meaningful and accessible, then this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference. In return we can offer a varied and engaging role that is part of a supportive and collaborative team, with flexible working arrangements.
Take a look at the job description on our website www.communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk for more details; to apply, send your CV alongside a cover letter explaining how you meet the job criteria, with your confidential details form and equal opportunities form (available to download from our website) to info@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk.
